ject will present My Mama Joe, Hope &\; Help at the Rhode Island School
of Design&rsquo\;s Washington Place Auditorium. Before the film screening
, the Providence event will include a community practice and resource gath
ering beginning at 5:00 p.m.\n \nRather than approaching this as a traditi
onal resource fair, I would like to invite our arts and well-being communi
ty to help make this hour an active expression of what our field can offer
.\n \nThis could include a brief, accessible, and participatory experience
that allows attendees to encounter your work firsthand. Possibilities mig
ht include:\n\nA simple creative activity connected to memory, caregiving,
identity, or connection\nA short movement, music, writing, visual art, or
storytelling experience\nAn interactive demonstration of an arts-based he
alth or well-being practice\nA participatory installation, reflection prom
pt, or community expression\nA creative engagement tool that caregivers or
families could carry into their own lives\nOr even materials distribution
that represents and depicts your work/practice.\n\n \nResource tables are
available as well for display of organizational material distribution.\n
\nThe goal is to move beyond describing the value of arts and well-being p
ractices and allow people to briefly experience that value for themselves.
\n \nThe broader event uses documentary film and personal storytelling to
open conversation about Alzheimer&rsquo\;s dementia, family caregiving, br
ain health, and the supports people need before, during, and after a careg
iving experience. The pre-screening gathering gives us an opportunity to d
emonstrate how creative practice can support reflection, expression, conne
