We have a legislative update regarding the four bills at the bottom of the newsletter: Charity Plate - S2815 - Creates a special license plate for Real Access Motivates Progress Rhode Island Inclusive Home Design Act - S2473 - mandates that new single-family homes, townhouses, and multi-family homes after July 1, 2027 must include at least one floor with accessible features Accessible Plate for Motor Vehicles - S2178 and H7308 to establish “adaptive vehicle license plates” for individuals with significant mobility impairments. These are for vehicles with permanent design modifications, such as ramps and lifts. Parking Mobility App Program - H7050 allows residents to report vehicles that are unlawfully parked in accessible parking spots by submitting photos to the app.
