For the last year, The Providence Journal and United Way of Rhode Island have partnered to highlight the state's nonprofits. Each week, a nonprofit identified by United Way has been spotlighted in the Providence Sunday Journal, and the United Way shares how it supports that organization and the mission behind their efforts.
In recognition of reaching the one-year mark, we've turned the Q&A over to United Way of Rhode Island President and CEO Cortney Nicolato to offer her perspective on this effort, the current state of Rhode Island's nonprofits and the partnership.
