Nonprofit schools are essential to RI's education landscape: Commentary
In every community, there are institutions that quietly, yet powerfully, shape the lives of young Rhode Islanders and, in turn, their families. At United Way, we see the impact of these organizations every day, whether their focus is early childhood education, access to the arts, afterschool enrichment, or career and workforce readiness.
Sometimes, there are organizations, like our nonprofit community schools, that operate at the intersection of these spaces at once, recognizing there is no one-size-fits-all approach to learning. Instead, their work is built upon both the belief that every child deserves an opportunity to thrive and the understanding that no two kids learn alike.
