RIDE's Reimaging High School team invites schools and district teams to this in-person session to understanding and supporting caregiving youth. TIDE's Spring 2026 SurveyWorks found that 34% of Rhode ISland students--about one in three--are caregiving a family member. As RI schools work to meet the needs of all learners, how can they better recognize caregiving youth and ensure ensure these students have the support they need to thrive? This session will help school and district teams begin answering that question through student stories and a facilitated conversation with researchers, educators, and community partners.
