Happy first day of Spring! We are nearing the final days before 401Gives! This season has been filled with excitment, strategy, and a drive to succeed. The dedication that I have seen from you all to thinking about how to be creative in this year's campaign has been nothing short of amazing.

🤓 New Traings || Previous Trainings 🤓

Most recently, I sat down with Jessica Barry, Senior Director of Philanthropy here at United Way Rhode Island, to talk about Donor Advised Funds. We chatted about what they are, how to engage with a DAF holder, and a few other kinds of out of the ordinary gifts that fundraisers encounter. Please be sure to check your verification status. If your organization is not verified, you will not be searchable on the website, and you will not be able to accept donations or recieve a payout.

There are different reasons that you may have an unverified status, such as missing bank account information, a missing or unverified EIN, and/or missing or unverified documents.

If you would like to inquire about your verification status, you can use the blue chat bubble on the bottom right-hand corner of your screen, or email 401Gives@unitedwayri.org

Don't leave this piece to the last minute as verification processing can take a few days!

It is a lively and exciting (and long) two days here at the United Way RI office during 401Gives. If your org would like to come by, say hello to the team, take some photos, or record some content, you are more than welcome to! Just send an email to 401Gives@unitedwayri.org to let us know when you're looking to come so we can accommadate you and your team.

If you are hosting a 401Gives themed event, please let us know so that I can post it on the events page on the 401Gives site. Additionally, we have staff that is always looking to visit our participating orgs. Letting us know what you are hosting helps them make a schedule!
