Bilingual (Spanish) Health & Safety Instructor

• Description:

  The ILSR Workforce Education program is seeking an individual fluent in English and Spanish to present Rights on the Job, Health and Safety, Worker Compensation Insurance and Sexual Harassment Training and resources. Trainers receive paid orientation and training, and will use available translated training modules and accompanying literature. No prior experience required; however, applicants are encouraged to apply only if they are comfortable with public speaking and have access to a personal vehicle.

  Work Location

  • In-Person: Trainer may be asked to occasionally meet at the ILSR office or travel to partner organizations to deliver training. Trainer must have access to personal vehicle, mileage reimbursement available

  • Virtual: Remote training conducted via Zoom or Microsoft Teams

  • Work format will depend on the agreed upon preferences of scheduling parties and the trainer per each individual training session. Trainer will coordinate availability with the Workforce Education Director to schedule training times with interested organizations.

  Hours Per Week and Pay

  Hours worked will be compensated at $27 per hour. Trainers may schedule up to 5 hours per week when training is requested. Hours will be determined by availability of training requests, and are not guaranteed every week.
