Get ready for Nonprofit Appreciation Month in November!
Presented by the Economic Progress Institute
Join the Economic Progress Institute (EPI) for an in-person training to help social workers, community health workers, and community organizations guide clients through public benefits programs. The session will be held Friday, October 30, from 9 AM to 12 PM at Gaige Hall, Rhode Island College in Providence.
Led by Divya Nair, EPI’s Senior Policy Analyst for Children and Families, the training will include a Medicaid training session by Shamus Durac, Staff Attorney at the Rhode Island Parent Information Network, and a discussion with RI Department of Human Services Director Kimberly Merolla-Brito on the changing landscape of SNAP, Medicaid, and other vital programs.
With a new federal law making benefits harder to access, this program offers practical tools and insights to help professionals better support low-income Rhode Islanders.
We are aslo very excited to share that 3.0 Continuing Education (CEUs) credits are available for social workers joining the training!
Space is limited—register today and be part of the effort to ensure that every Rhode Islander can access the support they need to thrive.
