The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) will convene two public meetings. These public meetings will be held to accept comments on the State Planning Council’s (SPC) implementation of the Federal Transportation Planning Process in accordance with federal statute.


The primary purpose of the certification review is to ensure that the required planning activities of 23 USC 134  and 49 USC 5303 are being satisfactorily implemented by the SPC. This meeting will be your opportunity to talk directly with FHWA and FTA concerning your views on the transportation planning process in the MPO area. The State Planning Council and its Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) announce that two public meetings will be held in conjunction with regular meetings of these public bodies and the MPO’s quadrennial Federal Certification Review on:
