Get ready for Nonprofit Appreciation Month in November!
Presented by Nonprofit Net of Greater Boston
The "Build to do Build Good" series brings together expert voices, experienced practitioners, and nonprofit leaders to explore relevant topics, share practical tools, and offer perspectives that can be put to work inside your organization. Four themes with one shared goal: helping nonprofits build stronger organizations so they can do more good.
Nonprofit Financial Hygiene for Stability, Compliance and Mission Impact
Learn how to shift your organization from reactive reporting and compliance to strategic accounting and financial management.
Presented by the Chronicle of Philanthropy.
The Chronicle’s popular list of America’s Favorite Charities showcases the groups that raise the most cash contributions. This year as part of that work, the Chronicle examined how the 25 groups with the largest revenue growth on last year's list have fared since the research was compiled.
Most of these nonprofits have managed to achieve impressive growth in fundraising revenue despite serious economic pressures and global conflicts. How do they do it?
Join the Chronicle for an informative discussion with fundraising leaders from organizations that appear on this year’s list of top 25 AFC engines of growth. The panelists will share the strategies that help them build strong ties with donors, weather uncertainties, and hit ambitious goals.

Train the Trainer: Curriculum Planning to Engaged Delivery to Participant-Centered Practice is a hands-on workshop designed for anyone responsible for designing and delivering trainings, orientations, or learning experiences. Whether you're updating a required staff workshop, creating a new volunteer training, or building a professional development series, this session will walk you through the full training lifecycle - from identifying participant needs to applying adult learning principles and instructional design frameworks like ADDIE and Bloom’s Taxonomy.
In this session, you’ll learn how to develop clear and outcome-driven learning objectives, select instructional strategies to engage different types of learners, and plan content using a person-centered approach to deliver content that meets the needs of your audience. We will look at how to create engaging activities to support knowledge retention and create participant-centered experiences, whether you're training in person or online. We’ll also cover techniques to reduce facilitation anxiety and improve engagement, even in trainings within mandatory settings.
Through group work, reflection, and sample materials, you'll leave with actionable tools you can use right away. You'll analyze how to scaffold learning for deeper understanding, manage group dynamics, and build your personal trainer toolkit. Whether you're brand new to training or looking to refresh, this workshop will give you the skills and confidence to design effective, engaging, and person-centered learning environments.
