Nonprofit training session

Presented by the Alliance for Nonprofit Impact

A nationally-recognized certification program, the Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) training program teaches critical skills and best practices specific to nonprofit financial management. A CNAP designation certifies the expertise and commitment of nonprofit financial managers and accounting professionals. Program graduates leave with the know-how and action plans they need to make an impact in their organizations right away. The CNAP Training Program consists of the CNAP Essentials and follow up CNAP Advanced courses. CNAP Essentials is the gold standard training for nonprofit financial professionals.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, attendees will be able to:

  • Explain the nature of nonprofit organizations and the roles and responsibilities of governance entities
  • Discuss nonprofit GAAP and financial statements
  • Develop and monitor budgets and contracts
  • Discuss how to allocate costs
  • Describe effective fiscal systems, internal controls and audits
  • Cite IRS disclosure requirements and the basics of IRS form 990
  • Review previous lessons and discuss how to apply them moving forward

With a lean marketing team and a tight budget, Metadata needed every program to pull its weight. Virtual events didn’t just deliver, they became one of the company’s top pipeline drivers, generating thousands of registrations and months of reusable content from a single session.

Watch this 20-minute conversation with James Silvestri, Lean Demand Gen Lead at Metadata, and Aly Klidies, Global Head of Experiences at Zoom, to see exactly how they did it.

You’ll learn how Metadata:

  • Built a repeatable virtual event strategy that punches above its weight
  • Turned a single event into a pipeline driver and a long-term content engine
  • Used speakers, paid promotion, and community to drive registrations fast
  • Repurposed one session into videos, blogs, articles, and more
  • Proved ROI with the metrics leadership actually cares about

On September 30 at 2pm ET, Seth Godin and Tammy Zonker are sitting down for a 45-minute fireside chat on The Human Side of Fundraising.

Because underneath every campaign, every appeal, and every fundraising strategy are people. And at its best, fundraising has never really been about asking for money. It’s about building trust, creating belonging, and inviting people into something meaningful.

In this conversation, Seth and Tammy will dig into how trust, empathy, and real relationships shape where fundraising is headed. They'll talk about:

  • Why generosity grows out of connection
  • How you earn donor trust that actually lasts
  • What it looks like to build experiences people want to be part of, not just show up for once

They'll also get into how to cut through the noise, tell stories that land, and turn one time donors into people who stick around for the long haul.

If you're already thinking about GivingTuesday, year end, or just where fundraising is going next, this one's worth adding to your calendar
